Red Apple Campground - Arundel, ME

If the road takes you toward New England, make sure you make some time to visit Kennebunkport Maine.  And when you're there, a great place to stay is at Red Apple Campground; one of the nicest places you could ever park your motorhome.  The campground is owned and managed by David and Jane Berg - two of the nicest campground owners you'll ever meet.

Located on 15 landscaped acres, Red Apple offers 140 large grassy as well as paved pull-thru and back-in sites.  All overnight sites have 20/30-amp electricity; limited 50-amp sites are also available.  There's a large recreation hall along with a store that offers many things that you may have forgotten to bring with you.  They also have a very nice heated in-ground pool and the entire property is manicured to near perfection.  All sites have picnic tables and fire rings but make sure you do not bring firewood from outside of Maine – it’s against the law. But don’t worry; Red Apple has plenty of firewood for sale as well as local nearby farms that provide fire wood (all on the honor system).

Red Apple is located only 5 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean with its lovely beaches, and downtown Kennebunkport, which has great shops, galleries, deep sea fishing and sightseeing excursions, many fine restaurants, and fresh seafood.  They are also close to live theater, several golf courses, and various movie theaters.  When you arrive, they’ll even be glad to book you a table at a local restaurant, reserve your theater tickets, and point you to many wonderful things to do and see.

If you like seafood, a great treat for you and your family would be to order up some steamed local and fresh-caught lobsters from David.  He’ll bring them right to your door in his antique red truck on the day and time you request and comes with all the fixings.

Red Apple is a 10/10/10 campground.  (this means, they're wicked good!)

The Great Outdoors - Titusville, FL

If you're looking for a place to stay for a night, week or in our case, full-time, and Florida is part of your travel plans, then you'll want to check out The Great Outdoors in Titusville, FL.  Quite honestly, there is nothing like it when comparing RV resort properties.

It's the only RV resort that offers RV port homes and sites.  In other words, most of the properties offer covered ports for your RV along with attached suites and homes.  In many of the homes, there's an attached RV garage.  TGO (as it's affectionately referred to) is gated and secure community which has everything you could ask for including an 18-hole golf course, restaurant, post office, plenty of activities, a church, and stocked ponds to fish in (no license required).

All sites are full hook-up with 30/50-amp service and 7-day per week garbage pickup.  All sites are paved and landscaped beautifully.  There’s even a nature trail that you can walk, bike or take a golf cart on.  But be careful; this is a nature reserve and because of this, there’s plenty of wildlife to see……and avoid!

As for activities, you’ll run out of time before you run out of things to do.  Kennedy Space Center is nearby (in fact, you can view the rocket launches from the property), and Disney and all the attractions it offers is only a short 45-minute drive.  There are airboat rides where you can see nature and gators up close (ask us and we’ll tell you who to book with) and some of the best beaches in the U.S., including Canaveral National Sea Shore.

If you want more information, just send us an email or visit TGO’s web site at for more information.
